DESCRIPTION:Rupa Rahul Bajaj Center for Environment and Art along with the Baithak Foundation are delighted to host musicians from the Manganiar community in an event called\n“Bandhej” – Binding memories with music \nTo briefly introduce the artists: \nBadal Khan : He is the senior Manganiar musician of the Manganiar community. He is a versatile singer of the Sindhi repertoire. He sings Sindhi largely poets such as Buleshah\, Shah Bitai\, and Pir Jilani and also sings ballads of Heer Ranjha\, Dhola MaruAchal Khichi\, etc. \nMultan Khan : He is a legendary singer from the Manganiar community who sings for their Rajpurohit Patrons. He sings songs related to life cycle songs right from birth\, wedding & and death and on annual cycle events. \nHakim Khan : At the age of 75\, he plays Kamaicha (the main string instrument of the Manganiar community). He has a vast knowledge of folk ragas of Manganiar repertoire.
