Empress Wild Explorer Program

Nature stimulates, nurtures little minds in many ways. Nature-connectedness is essential for the well-being of children and society. Our goal is to make children feel at home in nature, trying to counterbalance the fact that modern childhood has moved indoors. Making children feel at home in nature takes time. It takes time to be touched at heart!

Empress Wild Explorer Program (EWEP) is designed for school aged children to connect them with their natural surroundings through experience based activities. Each session of EWEP focuses on one of the selected themes: plants, birds, insects, water, soil, biodiversity. In each session, which lasts typically 2.5 hours, participants explore a specific aspect of nature through arts, nature walk, book readings, fun activities, songs and stories. We let their curiosity, imagination and creativity draw inspiration from wonders in nature. We hope that a deep connection and appreciation they develop about natural world would transform them into eco-conscious citizens of tomorrow!

Schools are welcome to approach us for EWEP sessions that align with their school curricula. Our age-appropriate theme based modules are designed and conducted by experts in various fields. Most of the EWEP themes align well with regular school curricula and provide students and educators an excellent opportunity to ‘experience’ first hand various topics in the natural sciences that are taught in regular classes. EWEP sessions deepen students’ understanding of curriculum topics many fold through activities that let them explore, handle, observe, experience without the pressure of assessment and performance.

Regular EWEP sessions with nominal charge are announced on our FB page as well as Instagram handle rrbcea_empressgarden.
Special sessions for students can be requested by calling RRBCEA official no. 9923306903 or email at [email protected] at least 3 weeks prior to the target date.
