~ A 28-Year Journey in Madhubani Art

Join fellow Artists and Art Lovers for a special talk and discussion with Puja Kumari, the self-taught expert originally from Madhubani, Bihar, whose art has reached the global stage!

Her extraordinary journey began, with a simple, mesmerizing glimpse at age 11: “When I was around 11, walking to school, I saw women painting on a porch. The moment I saw the colors—I was completely mesmerized. That was the beginning.”

Now based in Pune, her paintings vividly reflect Mithila culture, village life,festivals and important societal issues.

This is a unique chance to connect with an artist whose work has been showcased at the Princeton University Museum and Syracuse University. You’ll get to discuss her monumental 7×5 ft painting installed at the Indian Consulate in Dubai. She has been honored with the 2021 “Daksh Desaj Rajya Shilp Samman,” and her art has appeared on prestigious platforms like Tata Diary and international museums. Engage in an in-depth session covering the rich themes and techniques of Madhubani art!
